Prurient Simply put, Prurient is a one man wrecking crew and without doubt is one of the most respected artists in New England's powerful noise scene. Dracula Syndrome is a bizarre, disturbing and very introspective recording using a recipe of painful vocals mixed with destructive noise scapes and atmospheres. Two cassettes, eighty minutes of material spanning from spring of 2000 through winter 2001. As expected-an unpredictable blend of power electronics, thick harsh noise, huge droning electronics and frantic screams all come together to create an extremely destructive release. Then throw in some field recordings and cut-ups to the assault with a heavy old school industrial influence and you have a release that is bound to be a classic.
